Not only did the PPI cover refund owing me go straight into a frozen credit card account, I also got told that I may have to pay TAX on it!!!! Bar stewards!!!! I'm not a happy bunny, I could have done with that money and don't much like the idea of having to cough up money for something I never actually got.

Why did it go straight onto a frozen credit card account? Did it get refunded back onto the card you paid the PPI from?

Yep unfortunately and the accompanying letter told me that I will have to pay the tax on the amount, with them knowing full well I won't be able to touch or use the money that has been refunded.
