I started out on IM doing free, then I tried phone chat and one of my IM customers gave me the confidence to try camming. I have IM regulars and rarely have my camming regs chat with me...most of mine are either IM, cam or phone, with only a few using more than one of those.

Yes thats true to be honest, when i used to only do directim i found thats all they used, i only find now i get people i cam with on directim as i dont go on there much anymore.
But i will still get a few guys from when i first started come back if they are around the same time i am on directim.

Its just a case of sticking with it and to make some good money from it long hours.

Hornylass i saw you were on last night on directim and had a quick look at your profile, just a suggestion put up some more pictures and just my thoughts but i would go with some that leave something to the imagination..............you dont need a fanny shot for your profile picture, i would save those for your pvt gallery.

Graphic photos are best for your private gallery but especially with IM as this is for guys who like fantasy, it's a cerebral thing, they see the story in their minds...a good quality suggestive photo, one that stimulates the imagination, will do more for you than a graphic one.

I don't have nude photos on my profile but graphic photos are used more by cam girls, where the guys are wanting to see it all rather than fantasise about it.

Even for cam girls escorts etc graphic pics on your profile are not needed, they are paying to see you get yor kit off, there is nothing left for the imagination by having just a fanny shot in your face.
Element of tease and suggestion is much better than blatant. I only have explicit in my pvt gallery if they want to see that they will pay for it be it on cam or via my clips and gallery.

Yes I agree...just that it's seem to be more a cam girl thing to show nude pics on the profile. I don't use nude pics for my movies either, I make sure there's going to be a snapshot I can take of myself not showing anything or at least not being too graphic. One of my regs told me he was going to print off my camel toe pic and wank over it...no need to have naked pics up!

i agree direct im can be good if your willing to do no tabboo or domme ive had some amazing days on direct im i never really used to get what they got out of it really but ive had some stay in for over an hr fookin maddness .... i agree with whats been said really if your starting on there you would have to free im but that fact your new and have no feedbck i think it helps on direct im alot and what you offer the more extreme chat brings em in ..... good luck hun im sure ull be fine on there x x

Also...more pics and stuff writing would be good. Guys will know that some accounts that only off IM are actually blokes, and they may or may not know that some people set up more than one account for IM. There are 2 girls in IM that I have seen log on and off at exactly the same times and have had similar straplines...they're both successful and don't usually have the same clients, one of my customers though had a session with both of them and said that he thought they were the same.

So...make sure your profile has enough on it to make guys realise that you're genuine too. Maybe start doing some phone chat if you're not already.

Guys think that we can read their minds and aren't aware of the variety that we may come across, so don't be afraid to ask them what they would like to chat about. For instance, I have guys that like to roleplay about me finding them going through their lingerie...fine, but this could take more than one very different direction...they may want me to get angry with them and punish them or they may want me to get angry and then turned on/seduce them or they may want me to be very understanding and explain things to them. How they want me to react to a situation in a role play is something I have to find out from them first but they will usually assume that I know already.

Hi and thanks for the replies. I get what you're both saying about the profile pic. I am actually filming something soon with the help of a friend that will be suitable to use a shot from for my profile pic. Only problem is he's busy right now so could be a few weeks. So for the meantime I will stick with that pic as I haven't any others that are suitable and I surely something is better then nothing.

I did have an odd one today, I was asked if I'd film something for money but he wanted to film it himself. Seeing I don't want my face to be shown it's a no no and I wouldn't feel safe. Are these requests normal? Annoyingly I really could do with the money so I would consider filming requests but only posting on AW

You will get many emails about meeting for many reasons and probably offered stupid amount of money too...ignore them, at best they're just getting off on emailing you and at worst it's a scam of some sort.

Actually, some girls don't have any pics for doing IM work and do ok/well...you could always try it and see if it makes a difference.

I can't quite get my head around condoning chat on subjects of illegal nature, it simply makes my stomach heave when ever I have the misfortune of someone like that cross my path.

One such contact which I still can't shake from my memory was when a call came through on direct chat (not direct IM I know) and he opened with "I want you to tell me how to rape my three year old daughter". I immediately hung up and threw the phone across the room - I couldn't log on for a fortnight after that thinking that there is no way of reporting people who ask for such things.
