Booked phone chat - a question

So recently I received a phone booking request for 5pm ( i received it at 4.58pm). I did accept despite the fact that there was only a 2 min lee-way. Anyway, the next reply I get is for another booking (by the same person) for 5.10pm, but this time, instead of the 5 minute phone call showing 10 credits ( i charge 2.00 per min) it was showing something like 8.333 credits.
So now i'm wondering if this person knew they'd be charged less if they made a booking that I couldn't do (the first booking). I've never noticed this before as usually people book at least 5 minutes in advance.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks.

8.33 and 1.67 makes 10, looks like the second booking was for 10 in total , less 1.67 vat
but vat should not be charged now - maybe he s as confused about vat as we were

if he was a chancer seeking a cheaper booking, I doubt he d have offered 8.333, more likely to have been 8 or 8.50
