Mistress Silk, I wish I was savvy enough to know what a prism file converter was and what to do with one!

A file converter is a piece of computer software which takes one kind of file as input (.mov for example) and converts it to a different format (like .wmv). A side effect of such a conversion is a sometimes drastic reduction in size, though it can also cause a drastic loss of quality in the process. You need to experiment a bit to get a suitable level of quality vs size (size, and the file type, is what AW uses to determine the minimum price).

Prism is the name of one such piece of software, there are any number of others. Be wary of some of the free ones - they can have viruses and other nasties in them. Commercial products such as Prism are much less likely to have such problem. Do your research, find reviews etc before downloading and installing anything.

I haven't worked since last week. Christmas should be the busiest time of the year for making money! I really do think next week will be busier, I usually have a turnover of £3k and the cut off date is 26th of December god my earnings is going to be so low!! Has anyone else made enough money for transfer day (tomorrow) or are you all doing two weeks worth? even if it's dead? xx

So... I have been manic with stuff, trying to make up for the loss in sales on other sites, and working on AW still... but to no avail... I spoke to AW and they say there is nothing wrong with the site, that traffic and payment options are actually better now than they were back in August... without going into fine details in June, July and August we made between £4-5k a month, so not my any means the top earners on the site... however our earnings for September, October and November were all between £1-2k... a massive drop... and December looks even worse...

It seems a lot of people feel there earnings have dropped... so I just don't get it, if that many people have lost that big a chunk of their earnings, surely AW must feel it too... I really don't know what's going on I am not sure I ever will... if things don't turn around quick I might have to get a proper job ! Eek !

Wow that is good money £4-5k a month just by selling clips!!! That is a massive drop indeed! I didn't know you could make so much by doing video content!! 

Do you run a group on aw with girls profiles? 

What job do you think you will get if things don't turn out well? A normal graduate/degree job wouldn't bring in this much overnight that's for sure!!

Yep did royally suck to lose that kind of volume... We have some girls we help with their profiles, we shoot the content for them, edit it and then load it up for them... Think we currently have around 15 profiles active on AW that we help with... some do little bits of DirectCam/DirectIM as well... but certainly 70% of the revenues are content sales... We have 3 people who load the content onto the various profiles, and with the drop in revenues it's hard to justify that kind of investment of time and resources... If it continues into the new year we will have to revise our position...

I come from a sales and marketing background, I am actually launching a new company to pursue a more mainstream route already anyways... but I may have to find a sales job as that is a good 4 months away...

Has something catastrophic happened to AW ? I have been on there for years, mainly as a content provider, and we also help several girls with their content too... We noticed a couple of months back sales starting to slow... but November was horrendous... like a drop of over 50%... makes me wonder what's happened...

Yes of course it could be the Christmas slow down... but if I was guessing, I'd say there is something else behind it... I keep my records of years gone by, and nothing like this as happened to such a level...

Not sure how many more people on here are into selling content ect... Think it's time to email AW and ask the question... not good

I have to say, I've had issues with AW since around June. I Escort and cam and both have dwindled down to nothing. I've even dropped my prices quite dramatically and still nothing. I've been paranoid that it's just me. AW has been my source of income for a long time, but now I'm lucky if I get one client a week. I've been on AW for years on and off and I've never seen it like this. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I'm convinced it's a site problem. I mean, where does AW advertise? It doesn't even appear at the top of Google searches.

Ah very interesting. Have you ever thought about using clips4sale? do you advertise your movies when they are new each week? 

Nice to hear someone who takes this business seriously and makes a good income from it.
