Believe it or not I do free 80% of the time. I don't really mind either - I just chat away to the guys and usually do quite well out of it. Of course when traffic is on the slow side, and you're not positioned very high, it gets boring but usually it's ok! I don't get any pings if I don't do free, but that's probably because I don't pay for feauturing, so my profile would get buried under the featured list! x

Lisa, I'm on the verge of ripping my profile down and starting again so that's good to know. I'm just currently busted out of ideas. Maybe when I'm actually getting some sleep I'll be able to lay one out lol. I'm so used to Domme now and it fits my lifestyle so I don't really think I could venture into vanilla properly and finding a line in between seems blurry! x

I read on another forum, a tip from a girl who does free chat instead of paying for positioning/featuring - She says her profile is featured higher up the first page in free chat (for nothing) so would rather do this and attract more clients that may pay in the future too..
Makes sense I suppose (for her) so I gave it a go yesterday - I lasted all of 45 minutes - It was horrendous..I had around 30 people entering and leaving constantly for that time - Out of all these people, only 2 actually typed a 'hi bb'
I sat there like a lemon not really knowing what to do amidst the chaos, trying to say hello and make conversation...plus I didn't realise it doesn't ring when someone comes in to free chat - so was sat there initially reading my emails, frown lines and glasses on for the world to see..
Oh well - maybe worth a try for some of you with more know how than me! it was so so hard - I take my hat off to you girls that do it!!
Think I'll stick to paying for positioning and hoping for the best...
Incidently, the Princess Blue Eyes you were talking about initially on this thread - sometimes if I pay for positioning, my profile ends up next to hers - CRINGE! and once, I was between her and Gemma Stiles...Oh the shame!

Hey dont worry about that, in my experience the polished girls like those stunners are not for everyone, infact since I was forced into starting a new profile alot of men who I have had long sessions with in pvt have said they prefer less established service providers (of course I'm not but my profile has less than 20 feedback so looks like I'm a novice) and a more amateur vibe.. and by that I dont mean the time wasters that try their luck with newbies. 
  I love that AW has more variety, you cant even use sites like MyFreeCams.com if you are over 45, so men looking for more MILFS or even GILFS will usually gravitate towards AW. I'm in my 30s but attract mostly the guys into women in their 30/40s judging by their feedback..  I would shine out like a rusty nail sandwiched between those two diamonds on positioning, but I see it as a good thing, its better than me stuck in a row of service providers like me. 
P.s I was actually having a mooch on your profile yesterday and I rarely look at others on there, solely on the fact I saw your user name and thought it was awesome! 
And yes I agree, freechat is soul destroying, anytime some one calls me BB I feel my teeth grind

Yes, the only draw back with the younger ones is the hi bb text speak!!  - although I had one the other day that went straight in for the kill about 'want 2 fuk ur hairy pussy' etc and after asking how old he was, I discovered he was 62!!

You have such a sweet pretty innocent face - crazy that you are so quiet - and your eyebrows are fab - have just forked out for microblading and they're nowhere near as good as yours!! 
Fingers crossed you think of something or it picks up for you...I know it's difficult when you have children and you have to hide what you do..

This is my second time around on AW as I cammed consistently 2005-2006 before DirectCam and it was literally just waiting for bookings to come through on MSN or yahoo.  This time round I started up again in Feb last year and generally loving DirectCam.  I'm a chatter so I've always sat in free, smiled away nd chatted about a range of things, general chat switching it up.  I do a general "Hello gents!" when it gets too busy to say hi to everyone personally which generally helps so don't always have to keep a steady look on who's in.  Yep, it's hard work but I build up relationships with clients who then take me into sessions who otherwise wouldn't have and built up a good client base with consistent repeat business on the back of that.    I'm back on again this evening after shark week (oh the joys! lol) so hoping for a great evening. xxxx

I've not known it without Direct cam so I suppose we have it 'easy' if that's the word!
I just couldn't keep up with the amount of people coming and going so quickly in free - I'm not used to any more than 2/3 in group chat!
But yes, we persevere to pay for the shopping!
