Best bet is to wait until AW fix things just.
Thanks
Thank you for clarifying your stance on this, however it's very unclear as to why Eastern Europeans are singled out in this way. The company which runs Eastern Europe appears to impose very strict controls over Eastern Europeans and it feels very discriminating. I am sure other Eastern Europeans who have experienced this will agree with me.
I have obviously read the stories about Eastern Europeans and fraud on Adultwork hence why the Eastern European side of things was outsourced to Sweetkick, however it seems a minority destroyed the trust for all the rest of us that are innocent, we've been tarred with the same brush.
Currently with Adultwork's lack of support for the pay system which seems to be taking forever we're expected to transfer out via other pay systems such as Payoneer we lose much more.
Would be interested to hear opinions of others, ultimately Adultwork will just say if you dont like it go elsewhere.
Sadly, it is a case of the few spoiling the many. And AdultWork are being responsible in this. If they were to pay out to fraudulent accounts, they themselves would be in serious hot water - and facing what PacNet are currently facing right now. If they aren't strict and allow fraudulent accounts, then that would eventually spell the end of Adultwork.
It does seem discriminating, but it is by no means intention and based on nationality. Far better to be cautious than sorry later.
With regard to pay issues; we are all in the same boat and AW are also suffering. The longer this goes on, the less girls will log on to the site. There's also the publicity side of things. Of course; it's now well known that at the moment, they are unable to pay out to UK/European members for the time being. This also affects them. Nobody wants to sign up with a site that is unable to pay their members.
But as you can see; they are working very hard to get this resolved. None of this is their fault. They put their faith in a company which didn't act responsibly. Like those who have been scammed by those using PacNet, AdultWork and indeed it's members are also victims.
Payoneer/Paxum are an option is you really don't want to wait. It does make good sense to have an alternative payment method set up for these occasions, because as this has taught us - you never know what is around the corner.
One thing which is worth mentioning - setting up a new payment processor/banking system with a business often does take a lot longer than it has taken AW. Adult-related businesses are seen as "high risk" and there are a lot of pay processors which don't want to touch them for this reason. Some of those who do take adult-related business will charge ridiculous fees. So AdultWork has had to find a processor that is "porn-friendly" and isn't going to break the bank in fees. If said processor was to charge high fees, then commission rates for AW would have to go up - which means we would be paying more. AW are clearly trying to avoid that so everybody is happy.
In reality, it's not simply a case of finding a new processor and getting everything sorted. As an adult business, you have to jump through hoops in order to be approved. Some will want a large fee for security in approval. All will want to check credit history and to ensure the business and particularly the finances are in good standing. Then of course there's the fact that the UK appear to be going back to the dark ages with regard to porn and UK banks don't want to touch it. Thank you David Cameron and his team of "porn police" - "no sex please - we're British!"
Setting up a financial system in an adult-related business is a real nightmare and this is the last thing AW wanted to happen. They will have lost money as a result of this - granted not a devastating amount - but still, there will have been a loss. It is in their interest as well to get this sorted asap and they have been working around the clock to get it sorted. Please also understand that they have a huge responsibility on their shoulders. They have thousands of members waiting to be paid. They also have to pay other related costs - some of which will be abroad and will need the use of a payment processor.
To put it into perspective, imagine you're applying for a mortgage - and yet you have no credit history. You've either got to shop around for a financial institution who wants to help, and who will charge A LOT in interest because you're deemed high risk. Or you have to put up a huge deposit first - and there are no guarantees your application will be approved.
It's rather like this in setting up a payment processor in an adult-related business. It's a nightmare and is very time-consuming. Personally; I take my hat off to AW for working so hard to get a solution going. It sounds as though things are going through the final stages and normal service will be resumed very soon. But it could have taken MUCH longer - anything up to three months. We are very lucky they are on the ball!
