The Goodies were one of the most traumatic moments of my childhood.
One Christmas (I was around 4 or 5) my parents had been hyping up the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (easy there girls, not the porn version)
The goodies were on before, and their last sketch of the show involved building a bonfire around the base of a TV transmitter and setting it on fire, with the last scene being just static.....
I was convinced they had burned down the TV transmitter, and was inconsolable that the film my parents had been hyping up all week, wasn't going to be on.....
