Clips for Streaming ONLY

Hi All,

Just getting started here with uploading new content, but the first red flag I see is virtually every clip that's uploaded no matter the format (AVI, MOV, WMV etc), is available for download as an MP4 or other playable file that the client essentially owns and can share/upload wherever. Is there a way/format to upload clips where the content is viewable via the browser/streaming ONLY??

Nope, all clips are downloadable. Even if they weren't there's plenty of software out there for folk to record live streams from desktop so it's virtually impossible to stop it from happening. Best thing to do is watermark your content. I've found that those keen to rip and distribute the content of others tend not to bother so much with watermarked items - not that it stops them, just puts them off a touch if they know the clip can be traced back to the original source.
