How do I leave Voicemail Greeting?

I followed the instructions to ring the number they provide and then to follow the prompts and press 1 and 0, however, when I rang the number, a voice said that I had reached the voicemail retrieval system and they were transferring me. I was then asked for my 'password'. I gave the only password that I always log in to AW with, but was told 'password incorrect', then phone then went dead. I wasn't given an option to press 1 or 0 and there was no mention of anything about a voicemail greeting. Can anyone help please?
