Actually, escorts ARE allowed to become members. True, they're not exactly welcomed with enthusiasm and need to tread carefully to avoid the "no touting" rule, but several escorts have become quite active posters there.

Yes, escorts are people, but they are hired to provide a service and can in principle be judged on that: and they are in competition with each other to provide that service.
