I always avoid staying in hotels with security systems to access the rooms, nor will I visit a client if they are at a hotel that has one. before booking make sure you call the hotel and ask.
You have to weigh up the cost of using a hotel to renting a flat. Hotels are simply a PAYG system so it only costs when you use them. This works for me as I only work 6-8 days a month. With a late check out of 6pm I get two good days work for the cost of one night stay. With an apartment there is the monthly rent, rates, water, elctric & gas bills to consider + any deposit you need to pay up front.
I have never used serviced apartments as I do not like woring an apartment with an intercom system, but I know there are quite a few girls that do.
As always buying your own apartment is best, I had one for about 5 years and then sold at a profit, but that is not always possible.
