We had a booking to got to Cyprus for a meeting - If it all worked out then this would be a regular meet in both Cyprus and the UK ;-)
The client then asked if a second girl could join us - We recommended someone we knew but hadn't actually played with.
Deposits paid to us all - Just about to book everything (48 hours before leaving) and the girl we recommended text us saying her brother was not well so couldn't come - But she text our client saying that he had died!!!
First we heard of it was from our client in Cyprus!!!
Needless to say it was a ficticious story, then we couldn't get the deposit back off her - Took almost a week in the end.
Bang went our week All-Inclusive, let alone we had rearranged life for the week we were going to be away.
So - If there are any single girls that fancy the odd trip abroad then please get in touch ;-)

Think what got under our skin more than anything else was the fact that the communication was so poor - You would think that in an industry where we all suffer from timewaters that our 'colleagues' would know a little better!!

In all honesty I do think it is a big ask to take someone you do not know yourself. If I were you I would advertise on the 'reverse bookings' section for a co-worker and express the need to meet them for a coffee or over dinner first to see if there is a spark there and to get to know each other. You will be travelling with your partner, so completely at ease with each other, but if you don't get on too well with the other girl, she might feel very isolated and make the work situation difficult too.
I have only ever done duo work with known friends and that works very well, but I'd feel really stressed to do it with a complete stranger, let alone travel abroad and do it. She must have felt out of her depth to feel she had to make up a dreadful story to get out of it.

We did know the girl - Had spent hours doing shared content, even helped her put Private Galleries & Movie Clips onto her site. She always made out she would-be up for playing with us. So as you say, no issues when you're with someone you know.
It just comes down to being straight with people rather than bullshitting them!!

I do understand your frustration and it is very difficult to understand what is going through people's minds at times. It sounds like she owed you one, which is why she came up with the dramatics, as she new she was in the wrong.
Hope you find a replacement soon. I can't offer due to having a mardy teenager who can't get himself to college when I'm in the country let alone out of it and being boringly straight and perhaps a little too curvacious? Doomed!!! lol

Think we may have found a couple of new faces, but it's always great to find people you get on with. See you come down near us sometimes - If you find the time then perhaps meet up for a glass of wine or two?
