Like to make initial contact by email usually just to confirm a few details (availability, etc) but then like to talk on the phone to make booking - talking tells you much more about person - both ways.

I like emails or phone calls for discussions. I always have to have a phone call before making the booking though. Texts seem to only work with repeat clients.
