It works both ways too, I have had a couple of incidents where I made a booking, confirmed it an hour before, drove for 45-50 mins to get there, paid for parking, and then once at the appointed place at the appointed time I have called for the final part of the address, or hotel room number, and just got voicemail.

Yes I agree with MR Smith, as this has happened to me a few times too. Taken a day off, travelled, bought something for the lady, reconfirmed and then......a day to myself! Priceless!

yeah i've never charged, and i've been left with getting taxi's round to people's as agreed only to find them asleep when i arrive and calling me when i'm halfway home in the taxi the other way.... that's annoying- i wish more were like you markredfoxx, it's great that you've taken the time to cancel properly!!

I'm afraid so, on at least 3 occasions, and with different women (2 of whom I had seen before)

I've also gotten somewhere, (more than once,) and when I phoned she said "I didn't think you'd be so punctual, so I took another booking from a guy who called on the off chance... can you come back in an hour"

Mark you wouldnt believe the number of timewasters and no shows we girls get I am actually sitting typing this when I should be playing bedroom olympics with a guy that guess what didnt turn up after I have spoke to him 4 or 5 times regarding his appointment.

Emily, I fully empathise and I hate the way some people disrespect others. It annoys me in my business & my fun hobby when I'm on the sharp end, but I feel for you ladies. When did basic manners cease to be a prerequisite of human behaviour?

I'm in agreement with Emily. It is quite possible the hotel room was going to be used for other bookings too, depending on the time and length of your booking. I once had the travel costs of going to London re-imbursed after a cancellation, which I was happy about, as it had cost me over £60 to buy the tickets, but I would not normally expect anything, unless it is something paid out purely for that person.

It's nice to see that you are concerned about her loss. Most guys don't seem to care much and assume that you will make it back, which is not always possible at short notice.

I'm afraid I do care! I hate being messed about and inconsiderate people - had a bad one last week in my professional life-so I believe in treating others as I wish to be.
