But have to agree with Mistress Babalon i don't like the term 'real woman' and think it can be quite disrespectful, i am a size 10 on top and 12 on bottom (huge arse) so like that lots of men can appreciate a curvier figure however i do feel slightly uncomfortable when men refer to curvy girls e.g Kelly Brook etc and say 'pwooar real woman' then slag off someone skinny, e.g Keira Knightley..

I have a real passion for weigh training and always get disapproving comments from men.. 'don't turn into some muscular freak of a woman! (no danger of that lol) which annoys me too, as if you have to have fat in the right places and big boobies to be hot?! We're all real women regardless..

I think some people are genuinely fearful of expressing a preference if it goes against the norm. If you are a guy having a pint with your mates and they are going on about the cracking tits and arse on the bar maid, you would, most likely, agree, even if your dream girl was a size 6 waif. A friend of mine has very little interest in boobs and bums, but adores slender limbs on a woman. He was once actually put off when a woman he shagged kept thrusting her huge boobs in his face lol. He's an older guy, and more than confident enough to be open about his preferences. But then agaain, guess one of the main purposes for aw is for guys who can't be open in real life!

I think you're right HornyHeidiBush... just as women might not feel beautiful for being the 'ideal', men might feel weird for not being attracted to the 'ideal'. Certainly as a Domme I've spoken to plenty of guys who are attracted to unusual things in women and feel ashamed of it... heartbreaking really.

Life would be so boring if everyone looked the same, and everyone liked the same things. I think it's great that accepting and embracing difference is now becoming more popular Smile

A very good idea! This is what real women look like and hopefully this will have an impact of teenage girls who are after the "supermodel figure". The fact is, a lot of these stick insects do get that way through starving themselves. And teenage girls follow suit; leading to a whole host of health problems in later life; early menopause, osteoporosis, fertility problems, mental health problems etc

It's about time somebody took this bold step forward! And most men don't want a stick-insect. They want something they can hold on to! Curvy women look much better. Some of the most beautiful women in the world were and are curvy - Marilyn Munroe, Jennifer Lopez, Dita Von Teese.

Now we need clothing manufacturers to do the same!

I think to sell clothes you have to be more realistic there is no point making clothes in big sizes and only modelling on skinny dummies. It's pointless. As a big girl I'd like to see clothes shown properly and it works both ways. I have no doubt skinny girls face their own problems when it comes to how clothes fit and sit on their frame. As a dress maker I know if I was making an outfit for a larger fit I'd change the shape of my dummy and it's the same when it comes to displaying outfits..

totally agree with jem - i'd like to see all shapes catered for.

i hate the term 'real' women. real women come in skinny too and shouldn't be ostracised for it. still would be nice to see some 12,14,16 (whatever size i'm kidding myself i am that day) mannequins about.

I never buy clothes on-line because I like to touch the material and because my body shape is a little unusual, I want to try things on and i can't be arsed with returning stuff - I'd forget and end up having to keep it even if i didn't like it!

I'm a size 8, but in truth I would like to be larger and more "curvaceous". Sadly, though, when ever I do try to put on weight (yes, I have actively tried to in the past) it just goes straight to my belly and I look like I am skinny but pregnant! lol.

Even for me, though, at size 8, which on a girl who is 5'7" tall really is pretty skinny, stuff just looks so different when you actually try it on to how it looked on the bloomin' mannequin.

My waist isn't terribly slender - 28" rather than the 26" is ought to be for my "ideal" proportions, and my chest is rather larger than it ought to be too, but I do have quite narrow shoulders and narrow hips. So lots of things just don't hang right on me, even when they would look great on another girl. Unrealistic mannequins only add to my misery! lol.

I love the idea of having more a more curvy mannequin on show as well as normal sized mannequins. I hate the way media/advertising pushes skinniness in our face and celebrities are called fat for gaining a few lbs young girls grow up thinking that to be sexy or beautiful they have to be slim.
