Hey girls just signed up to start working today and looking into how I'll do my payments, noticed a lot of people saying go with Santander, are they the best bank for uk transfer or is there much difference with others?

Hi, that may have been info for ESP's, nowadays with UK bank transfers any bank is fine to use.

Yes Sandanter and Barclays Bank are the best to go for. If you are foreign and new to UK or if you're English and struggeling to open a bank account due to different reasons, then try at Santander Bank. For me Santander was the only bank who did give me a "slim size account" when I first came to UK, which means you just get a card to withdraw money at Sandander or pay for goods at Tescos. They won't give a debit card - so no online shopping with the "slim" Santander account. But it at least you can get your AW credits payed to your account
