How much to charge for managing a profile??

i'd steer well clear of this girl. if she's not capable of running her own profile she must be a bit of a flake. you could be taken advantage of financially or worst case scenario, as someone else said, be charged with 'living off immoral earnings'. there are already enough sleazy pimps out there living off girls money, don't be one of them.

A plumber friend of ours is also being "Pimped" out by a sleazy fat low life. He sends him off out to work each day, regardless of the weather, and takes over 30% of what he earns. The guy has 5 others that he also controls to make him a fat profit that affords him a large detached house and flash new cars.

What is the world coming too?

I don't want to get into the rights and wrongs of it... just wanted to point out that legally it is potentially a minefield.

Personally, I think a lot of the law on prostitution is just utter rubbish... like the whole two or more girls working from the same premises thing... what a crock. And then the difference between "Controlling" and acting as an agent or even being a maid...

I worked quite happily under an agent for a couple of years. It was a good way to get started. I had a good income and regular work at a rate I wasn't unhappy with and I didn't feel pressurised to do anything I didn't want to. They took care of advertising and managed my diary for me... all I had to do was turn up at the right place at the right time, appropriately dressed and properly kitted out!

So long as the manager isn't threatening, mistreating, misleading or coercing a girl, I don't see the problem. And it is certainly true that lots of people in other professions are threatened, mistreated, mislead and coerced! But then... they're not having to have sex with fat, ugly, boring old bald men for money are they...

I totally agree with you, it seems it is only wrong to be managed if you are involved in working as a prostitute. This stems from the belief that women are forced into sex and the pimp takes all the money. Untrue in most cases, that is not to say it does not happen, nor to say that the same thing does not happen to women working in other jobs.

The idea of being managed does not agree with many, but like you say, in the right environment there is nothing wrong with it, as long as you are being treated fairly.

In the early days, pre internet, I managed 3 flats in my local area, girls used to travel from al other the UK to work for 2-3 days at a time. The rent was paid, advertising was placed and in some cases maids worked the phones which were constantly busy. Adverts were placed in the Daily Sport and locally as well as many contact magazines sold in sex shops. Everybody was more than happy to work at the places which were modern, kept clean and fresh with a good reputation among clients.

Many girls still work from managed flats and saunas today and are very happy doing it

My point was not a legal one but that it is funny how people think doing something legally is ok but if it is sex related it is so wrong. Or as soon as somebody suggests that they will be helping somebody manage an escort profile / business they are then classed as pimp and get scorned?

What is the difference between somebody being Pimped / Managed as a plumber and a person being Pimped / Managed because they are a prostitute / escort? A plumber can also set up on their own and do it themselves.

As Trinity points out above, there are very good reasons sometimes to use an escort agency and there are many girls working for other people in well run flats / massage parlours. And as such all the people doing so are classed as pimps.

The legal institution may consider being involved with or assisting prostitution is wrong, but how can it be if being a prostitute is legal? Because they say so...

Very good point same goes for the workers who are brought into the country and trafficked into jobs where they work illegally, without rights and often abused or made to live in substandard conditions. Some are willing, others are exploited but the don't want to make their line of work illegal.

I can understand what the laws are trying to do, but they don't do it effectively enough.

I started to watch some porn on a porntube site a few nights ago, and straight away it was obvious that the girl had been trafficked and was being forced into doing it. At one point the camera cut away as she was about to burst into tears, it was horrible. The worst thing was that in the comments section of the site, none of the guys seemed to realise or care that she was being forced, it was terrible.

You can normally report the pictures/videos on those type of sites if you feel the content is illegal or inappropriate. Maybe go back and find the clip to do this if you haven't already.

totally agree with this strawberry blonde. A group of travellers here were recently charged with exploiting and falsely imprisoning british men and forcing them to work on building sites/farms etc., so anyone can be exploited in any line of work - it just needs people to come forward to report this kind of thing (including the victims who may be afraid or not know their rights).

i haven't seen anything as bad as that, how awful! but i have watched vids where the girls clearly look like they are on drugs - whether they have taken themselves or not, its not nice to see.
