DirectCam vs. Booked shows

Hey ladies,

Can any other cammers out there advise me on this? We currently only offer DirectCam but are thinking of doing booked MSN/Skype shows too. Which do you prefer to do?

My concern with booked shows would be people booking when the "available now" light isn't on and leaving neg feedback when we don't get the booking on time. Or that we'd find it tricky with people going over time etc. Do most guys stick to the time or do they get shitty when you're strict about it and tell them to rebook? Obviously we don't want to be giving extra time for free but I'm a bit worried about getting negative feedback as we're new to the site.

Don't worry about them booking when you're not actually available, they can't leave feedback. They have to make the booking, you have to check they haven't put in a price of their own and then accept it, and then they have to confirm it - at that point you get their skype/msn address, don't be conned into giving it early or giving a show when they haven't confirmed.

Being new, the biggest risk is them trying to use your lack of knowledge about how the booking system works to get a free show. Also, them expecting another show because of some fault at their end.

I find guys do keep to the time booked, or just slightly over which I don't mind...the ones that want to really run over on my shows are regulars. Just show that you're not rigid about the time but be nicely assertive over it, and show from your actions too that their time is up without booting them abruptly.

Does AW automatically send the client's msn/skype address once they've confirmed the booking or do I need to wait for the client to email it via AW?

You're welcome...there's no email, it shows on the bookings page.

I do both. There are way more directcam clients, but prebooked can give you a nice reliable sideline. It's good to know how long you'll be on cam for, who with, and the amount you'll earn. They can request a booking if you're not available, but unless it's confirmed by both you and him, he can't leave feedback and no money is exchanged. Some girls charge less for prebooked because of the guaranteed fee, but I charge more as it takes time out of my directcam stream, and if there are tech issues you can lose out on money while faffing around. In conclusion, do both

it's hard to describe...when you get a booking you'll see what you need to do, and you get an email confirmation as well as showing in the booked webcam section. Bookings are listed under the emails and bookings tab.

Yeah you can offer both at the same time.

Guy books, you'll be notified.

You look at what he's put, rate, time etc. If all good you confirm

The guy then has to also confirm (this is because you can change the rate if they've put it in "wrong")

Once they have confirmed that's it booked you get notified again.

You will both be given each others details. (when you look at the booking on the left hand side it will say "view details" that's where the contact details will be)

yes that's it. I would also go into your msn settings, there is an option to save a record of every conversation. You'll want to do that to keep a record of everything you do
