Webcam girls: items you claim in tax return!
#1
Hiya have only just started this business seriously and will start filing my taxes soon as self employed and I wondered what other people are itemising in their tax forms to claim back! Want to make sure I have as much covered as possible! Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated and may help others in the forum too! Have considered laptop/pc equipment but will need to work out how to account for depreciation and that those things usually last longer than a year. How cheeky can we be!

Everything basically.. from a third of my house builds (there's a wierd formula about how many rooms you have etc)

make up
clothes
props for photos
wet wipes lube
toys
If I buy it for work I claim for it

I do pay an accountant but I have always run more than one business so I need to really. As I invest all my earning into my other business I have not paid a tax bill yet. I might this year but they're putting up the tax free allowance Yes!! lol

Stop Escorting Summer 2013 so Book while you still can!

Get in touch with Friendly Accountant on AW - Bryan is non-judgemental, not after a freebie, so totally professional. I'm sure he would give you some impartial advice if you are unsure about anything.

If you use it, claim for it.

You can even claim for your telephone line and broadband connection as they are necessary for your work... although you might only be able to claim a proportion of them if you use them for private use too.

You can also claim for:

Stockings
Getting your hair and nails done
Lingerie
Antiperspirant
...just loads of stuff

Oh, and you may be able to claim for using your home as a place of work too, and so include a proportion of your household bills... gas, electric, water....

And deffo use an accountant... it will probably cost you a couple of hundred quid, but he will find little allowances you are entitled to which you never even knew existed! Also, if your accounts have been prepared by an accountant, the bank will just accept them as proof of income for a loan or a mortgage or whatever. Just make sure your business name is discreet... don't call your business "sexycamslutgrl" or anything, because it will show on your accounts!

As with everyone else said best to get an accountant as they will tell you alot more and sort it all out! But you can claim for lots and it's worth paying accountant to do as simpler and less for you with all the percentages etc.

Good luck

Wishing I kept the receipt for the small fortune I spent on Clarins stuff now...think I'll check my stash of plastic bags now just in case!

Smiled at the idea of claiming antiperspirant...are we saying we'd normally go around stinky? Smile

Does gym membership and cost of exercise equipment count too? I recently bought a chi machine (the original by sun ancon as the imitations are just that) and it's doing an amazing job at toning my muscles as well as saving me on complementary medicine costs.

Technically you are treading on a thin line when it comes to deodorant. It's something you would use out of work!!

Gym and exercise eqpt.... Taxman would not be impressed!
