He was very naive to say it doesn't matter. In my third year of senior school we discovered our form tutor was having an affair with one of the PE staff. Word soon got around and the open secret meant she no longer had the respect of the pupils and her life was made intolerable by them.

Also, any one involved in education has a pastoral duty of care in children's development.
What you do in your private life should have no bearing on this, But appearing on an adult TV channel and porn trailers which are in the public domain is not keeping your sex life private.

The fellow is a total dickhead - naive and arrogant. Basically he's toast now, unless the prats who run Big Brother might want him?

I sort of agree, he did have a point. The children should not of been watching porn, but we all know it does go on, kids can watch what they like on the internet.

He has chosen not to return to teaching, despite being offered his job back, so I guess there will be far more of him on internet porn, maybe he will get himself a AW profile, if he has not already got one

So who want to do the first "content share" film?

Then, as he rightly says, teachers shouldn't be allowed to smoke, nor should they be obese, as both of those things lead to an early death, and children mimic what they see.

This guy didn't tell anyone about his hobby, least of all the kids, he is no threat to them, however the person that brought it to the fore needs to be disciplined, as the kids wouldn't have known to look for a teacher as a porn star.

What he doe in his own time is his business,

That's my 2 cents

The problem is the parents are able to see it and they also need to be able to respect and trust the staff that care for their children.

It is a difficult one. Anything on the net is free game and it's not wise.

I don't know if it has changed, but there used to be a clause in a teacher's contract (for Further Education anyway) that could result in instant dismissal offence for activities carried out even in a teacher's private or social activities .. probably to avoid the situation where a lecturer receives "favours" from students in return for good grades, no matter who initiated the favours and despite the fact that both involved were over the legal age of consent.

It's double standards, if it had been a bloke known to be having an affair the same thing wouldn't have happened. As per usual... what's sauce for the goose, isn't for the gander.
