Adultwork profile back up BUT....
#1
Bug
My profile was taken down earlier, I emailed them about it and received this reply:

"Please be advised that this is a warning regarding uploading non-genuine
pictures to your AdultWork.com Profile. We have reactivated your profile and removed the pictures in question, but
if you, (or your Group Manager), upload pictures that do not belong to
you, or do not feature you, your account will be closed and any credits
will be withheld."

Now from what I can see the only pictures that have been taken down are the ones from my profile page, and my free gallery. Does this mean it's likely someone has "stolen" my pictures and tried to pass them off as their own elsewhere? I can prove all my pictures are mine, they're all shot in my bedroom which is quite distinctive as all my walls are teal. I don't post my photos anywhere else other than on Adultwork, so how did this happen? Would it be worthwhile watermarking my photos from now on?

If anyone can shed any light on this I'd be very grateful, I've had the day from hell worrying over it all Sad

Yes, more than likely.

I've heard of this happening several times.

Search on tineye (www.tineye.com) for the disputed pics and see if they appear anywhere else.

Watermarking is a good idea.

I do worry about this... think I might just have a little browse of the rules....

It is one of the small problems with AW, the way they treat genuine customers and will not enter into any comunication to resolve such an issue.

Their descision is final...

It would be nice if they would at least tell girls where the photo's have been seen?

Presumably they couldn't possibly keep track themselves... it would be an unmanageably huge task... so it would have to be as a result of a guy complaining, right? And if a guy complains, then surely he must offer some evidence... and presumably they will check to see if he is right and not just some crank reporting profiles for the craic... so they must know where else the photo's appear... mustn't they?

I know, I know... they must be taking profiles down all the time and most of them probably are fakes and scams and ought to be taken down. But it comes back to this old thing which I've said a million times before - there is often a million miles between a problem profile and a girl who is a member of a well established group who has been a member for over 4 years and has over 300 feedback .... isn't there?

I dunno... maybe there isn't?

I had this happen to me, 2 photos taken down and even when I showed prove it was me , I didn't get reply from AW that I am allowed to put them back up. I am now worried putting new photos up, in case somebody reports me ....for whatever reason.

You'd think they would at least contact first and ask about the pictures? If they just deleted profiles off the back off "someones say so" cant they see the trouble that causes?

I can't believe how they automatically assume the girl has posted fake pics rather than someone has downloaded them from our gallery. I have regulars who cheerfully tell me that they are downloading my pics! And the same goes for movies too.

I've been trying to remember which pictures were taken down but I haven't a clue, I know they were definately all of me, same background and everything. I don't know what pictures to put up now for free, I'm worried that I'll get shut down again. I had a similar issue sending ID to verify myself for cam work a few months ago. I just wanted to get back to work after a few days sulking over my cat (mentioned in older post/blog - he died) and then this happened... such bad timing!

Still gutted about the cat too, Frankenstein was my baby Sad

I had pictures stolen from my pvt gallery and posted on tumblr and various other places. Only found out about it bc aw gave me a warning. I was like wtf??! Took me a cpl of months to track down the pics and whack all the sites with dmca notices! I dragged every one of my pics into google image search till I found the ones that were taken, then used similar image and different sized search to find where they all were. I also kept emailing aw about it till they finally conceded they have to remove the pics on the merest suggestion of infringed copyright in case they themselves get into legal problems. Aw's stance is basically fuck you, you're on your own!
