Good questions Monty... If clients on AW refuse to use a booking form, I usually take that to mean they have something to hide. If clients email me I generally ask them to book this way. Positive feedback is what matters to me... It should mostly be positive.
Having said that, Nope, it's not the be all and end all and if a prospective client is polite, respectful, and straightforward in his communication with me, then ultimately that is what matters.
