One question I have is did you contact her before you submitted the booking form, or did you submit the form without any contact?

No i had e-mailed her prior to sending the booking form request and she e-mailed me back as I wanted to confirm the price for the time i wanted.

Had you specified a time and date when asking for confirmation of the price?ie before you submitted the form or was it just to ask for the price?

Sorry if this sounds pedantic, SPs receive a lot of emails which are not specific and unclear. And on the other side SSs make contact asking for things like prices, availability without wanting to make a commitment, whilst others consider a 'are you available at such a time' a definite booking made and then phone when 'in town' expecting you to be free.

I always make sure everyone is crystal clear on arrangements, and how to make contact/obtain directions before accepting a booking and ticking the confirmed box (which I wouldn't do anyway until I had contact on the day or close to the booking time - a tick in a box on an AW is not part of my confirmation procedure, phone contact close to the booking is) but from the things I hear not everyone operates that way.

Whenever I hear about guys being let down very often it's them being left hanging with no definite confirmation/contact time.
