I write like a talk, it all comes out and I have to live with the consequences lol.
Now we're talking about writing can I do a quick lesson in English?
you use 'an' instead of 'a' if the word you are describing starts with a vowel.
ie, an apple, an igloo, an umbrella and an orange. This bit is new to me, but it really makes sense...
The rule is that you use a before words that start with a consonant sound and an before words that start with a vowel sound.
Example:
A helicopter
An hour
That is my English lesson for the day![Smile Smile](https://adultworkforum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Your home work for today is to use 'a' and 'an' in your postings as much as you can for the rest of the evening.
