Can you be both member and SP?

Interested in understanding how it works if you are a member and decide that you want to provide content (erotic stories, videos, pics), if you have purchases of content completed, do those credits just get deposited into your AW account? I'm not interested in setting up bank accounts as I don't plan to have a large quantity of content - just curious how the process works and if this option even exists. The AW `help' was no help at all in getting this question answered...
