Their football team against whom England have stumbled many times in the last 40 years or so.

1982 world cup qualifying: one draw and one defeat. That we qualified and they didn't was more down to luck with the other results on our side. (Yeah, Romania weren't that good and lost to lots of the other teams. But they still beat us).

1986 world cup qualifying: we drew with them twice. Northern Ireland beat them twice though so they qualified second and again Romania didn't qualify.

1998 world cup: They beat us in the group and qualified as winners. But then we both went out the next round.
2000 European Championships: they beat us in the final group game to go through instead of us.

Gheorghe Hagi was a very good player, by the way. Some of the 1994 world cup team that ended up at Spurs were not...
