This is a nightmare scenario and regret one that looks like it is becoming more common. From this side of the fence, I always like to speak with the WG prior to a appointment so that both parties know they are dealing with a real and genuine person. The first thing I look at is feedback and this tells a great deal - more so than the profile itself, no matter how good the photos and the words. Sadly, there are still "men" out there who get a kick out of being a no-show and these "men" give us genuine guys a bad name. I have a situation at the moment where I have spoken with a WG I want to see last week, I have sent her a booking, and still she has not either confirmed her booking or even sent me an address or postcode. Given that the appointment is for tomorrow at 13.30hrs, it looks like I am to be stood up and npt have my appointment after all - also very annoying.
Back to the original subject though, thank-fully, most WGs can see through the timewasters and sort out the men from the boys, but it is certainly a problem to which there is no blanket response.
