Feedback sabotaged by fake escort s_h_c
#1
Over several months I've sent four AW emails to this "escort", but none were ever read. No phone number displayed, so there was no other way of contacting her. So I gave up.

It seemed fairly obvious that "she" was a scammer, only interested in selling "her" private gallery to prospective customers who then can't make contact. But it was also possible that she was expecting telephone bookings and was unaware that she had to pay to display her number (which I tried to explain in one of the emails that she refused to read). I decided to hedge my bets by using a dummy booking to leave the following feedback:

Quote:Never reads messages, no phone number displayed... ???

That was a fortnight ago, no response until now. I've now had a message telling me that I had new feedback from her. She has given me a negative rating, with the following explanation:

Quote:dangerous weirdo who turned up at my house unexpected and uninvited! should be banned

I've disputed it with this explanation:

Quote:Scammer, not a real escort. No idea where "she" lives, never answers. Reported to AW.

However, her profile is now invisible to me, apparently it's been "suspended due to doubts about its authenticity". Because I can't access it, I cannot use her "report" button to make a complaint through the normal channels (though I guess somebody else has done so?).

But I can confirm on here that s_h_c is definitely a dodgy profile, and obviously I'd appreciate deletion of the false accusation against me! Interestingly "she" still hasn't read any of the messages I sent, so it should be pretty obvious that we have never made contact, and therefore I can't possibly know where she lives.

The amount of men who have in the past started profiles stating they are female escorts, who's sole intention was to upload stolen content to sell to other men; used to be way higher than it is now.

Making the booking just to leave the feedback was pointless really as you've only gotten yourself a negative in return for your efforts.

If you smell a scammer a mile off report them to AW and leave it in their hands. Seems AW is already on it with the swift suspension of the profile you're talking about.

Well, I would have simply reported it to AW if I'd been more certain that it was indeed a scam. I thought this approach would give her a chance to fix the problem if she was genuinely unaware that her phone number wasn't being displayed. I suppose I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Now I just hope AW acts soon, and either deletes the feedback or deletes the profile (an allegation from "member not active" will be less credible), or preferably both!

..Ah, good!  Even though the feedback exchange is still there, she's now "not active", the account has been deleted.  That should make it reasonably obvious that the claim was bogus.

The timing of all this was rather odd.  As I recall, the profile was created ages ago (last year, I think), and had one previous favourable feedback-only comment from a zero-feedback client (preumably also faked), again quite old.  My own comment was left a couple of weeks ago.

Yet her bogus allegation against me was made at 2:25am this morning, and by the time I'd checked my emails this morning and spotted it, the account was already suspended (though not yet deleted), before I posted my dispute.  AW must have pounced on "her" immediately.  Was "she" on some sort of watchlist?

Well, this is getting farcical now.  Though the profile was deleted, I still have a bogus allegation that I'm some sort of stalker, so I reported the feedback to Adultwork:

Quote:I have been given false feedback by a bogus "escort" whose profile has now been deleted.  Under these circumstances, wouldn't it be appropriate to delete the fake feedback too?  Obviously I never met this person, "she" never read any of my emails and never displayed a phone number!

They have refused, sending me what is obviously a stock reply saying that they only delete feedback in "exceptional circumstances".  I would have assumed that a completely false allegation from a fake profile identified as such by Adultwork themselves would be sufficiently exceptional, but apparently not!

And if the member has violated Adultwork's terms and conditions, I can report her using the "authentic member?" button on her profile.  Her deleted profile.  Locating a button on a deleted profile is a bit of a problem...

Well it's funny when it happens to someone else, but your right to be pissed off Simon I would be as well. I understand you were just trying to flag up a possible Private gallery scam and that's commendable but I have to agree with Ana that it's better just to report your suspicions to AW.

Feedback sabotaged ? well how many times have you come across a strange bit of negative feedback left by a Service Seeker on a profile that has otherwise very positive feedback and you've not let that anomaly worry you because it seems very out of place, well I'm sure most SPs will look at you in the same way, but yes AW should remove it.
I'm really not bothered I like League One.
