Your absolutely right of course Sarah the same could be said for any activity/hobby we regularly spend money on, I dread to think how much I've spent following Millwall FC (you can take the boy out of Bermondsey but you can't take Bermondsey out of the boy), now in years to come will I regret it, of course not what other reason would I have had for visiting exotic places like Scunthorpe and there's some great football played in League one.
There is probably another dimension though around the regrets men may have about the years they've spent punting, some may have started because their trapped in dysfunctional relationships and may wish they'd tried harder to make those relationships work, others may be single and at the time the fact that punting gives you the freedom to have sex with as many women as you want without the baggage that relationships bring probably seems very attractive but perhaps later think they have missed out on all the good things that being in a relationship has to offer and now maybe it's too late.
As for me, well I don't regret it because for the most part it's been great fun, will I regret it 10 years from now, well only time will tell, I will come back and let you know.
