That can be said for most things that we spend money on for entertainment pleasure.

Tonight, €100 spent on a meal + €20 on a taxi there and back, compared to €120 spent on a meal the other night, no comparison, the €120 we spent on the meal the other night was far better and would would have been happy to pay €150+.

Unfortunately, the €240 we spent having a meal on Christmas eve was €200 over the top, yet it was in one of the best restaurants in Madrid, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

€30 + cheap drinks, to sit and dance for 2 hours watching a live 5 piece Cuban jazz band was excellent value, we choose not to spend €92 + expensive drinks, watching a Spanish Flamenco show for one hour, but read the reviews and many would say it was excellent..

Over the last 20+ years we have spent thousands of pounds on entertainment, some of it we enjoyed, some we did not, some was good value, others were not. Will we think twice before venturing out for another night at some point? I very much doubt it.

The €2 spent on a glass of wine that include a free tapas is also very good value, don't do lunch, do wine....

This is an entertainment business, try and enjoy it for what it is.
