Of course the situation bbk faced may have had nothing to do with safety it could just have been a time wasting excercise on the part of the wg, ignore the call ask him to text then ask him to call again, by the time he actually got to the room it could have been five or ten minutes after the scheduled start time.

I'm also surprised how few wgs make use of a the door chain, I'm sure they use the spyhole but then we tend to get what we call the automatic door, she stands out of sight behind it and it appears to open by itself, using the chain would give you a better view.

Many hotel doors don't have chains. A good spy holes can give a much better view. Certainly did at my last permanent incall place. I had a chain installed but the design of the door meant that I hardly got a view and it was fiddly. Spy hole or window was much better.
