Call me back?

I've heard that some girls like to hear a client's voice over the phone as part of their vetting process, but that seems odd to me... what can you really tell about a client from his voice? Only that he's a real person, I suppose. I have plenty of AW feedback, that seems to be enough to satisfy them. So generally I just text on the day of the meeting to confirm (after originally arranging the booking on AW), then if I'm not given a general location at that point, I'll text for approximate directions closer to the time, then text again about 10 minutes before the booking to let her know I'm nearby and waiting.

It's annoyingly stressful to not know in advance which part of town you should be in (for parking etc) well in advance. Some have left it rather late.

Texting has two advantages over calling: a text can wait until she's finished with a previous client, and it gives you something you can read clearly and refer back to (rather than mishearing the name of the hotel / street, getting a digit wrong in a postcode etc). I chose my current phone because it had a decent on-screen keyboard for texting: my previous one was a flip-open type with a numeric keypad, which was such a pain that I composed texts on my main smartphone, sent them to the other phone, then forwarded them on from there.

But if she wants me to call, I'll call. Though on one occasion I had to insist that she texted the name of the hotel, as I couldn't make it out due to her Romanian accent (I blamed a bad line).
