it appears several escorts and models who use my facilities have decided AW is so behind other profile sites and appear to gear everything towards their cam operation and cam groups.

So, they are now using Tinder to very good effect and no hoops of supplying your ID, card payment details etc and all those all to familiar problems associated with AW, not just creating a profile but trying to manage one and finding your income is solely reliant on it, fine when all is good, a nightmare when not, just a glance of a few threads on here and you can see the problems with AW.

The tide is turning, a few of my kittens now webcam for the likes of Jasmin or Streamate and escort via using Tinder. A lot of the attitude when AW want something from them to be verified they just shrug and sigh "Oh well, F##$ them, I don't have time for this shit, I want to earn"

I don't see any problems with AW and whilst I have seen many threads on here saying it is slow, there are others who are doing very well. There will always be girls that moan about things and sometimes it is because of the way they operate and some do not manage their profiles in a business like manner.

Tinder - A glorified dating site = 1,000's of men seeking free sex = Plenty Of Fish & many other dating / swingers sites = even more pain in the arse males than you will ever get on AW - good luck to those that wish to try it...

Jasmin / Streamate - both have been around for many years and spend plenty of money on advertising. I am sure it must work for some but will they ever take over the traffic that AW gets? I have no idea as I do not do web cam, I woudl imagine that if xKatieBabyx and some of the other top cam girls using this forum are not on it then there is a good reason.

Yes some of the european girls do have problems with AW, but there is usually a good reason, as many seem to be on there and verified it works well for them, no problems. So yes, those girls will look to work for a company that is less rigid over ID.

Being soley reliant on any one stream of income is not good business practice, and whilst AW has not had that many problems, you should always have other sources of income. your own web site for one, how many girls on AW do not have a web site or even a twitter account? When AW went down with a DDos attack I was able to keep working through both my web site and twitter account, punters did not stop punting, they simply searched for girls via Google.

A lot of very valid points (that I totally agree with)… although I beg to differ about one… as perhaps I am one of those who has had a “moan” as you put it, (about AW being quiet)..… I must admit it was more of an an observation on my part than a criticism – I have been on AW many years (as a webcammer, I do not Escort.. so I can’t comment on that) – and I have noticed/observed in the last year or so it can be a lot quieter AT TIMES, i.e., very hit & miss --- in a way that it never used to be --- the continuity/traffic flow always used to be there in a way that it doesn't seem to be lately ----- I don’t feel that this is because of the way “I operate” or “not managing my profile in a business like manner” ---- as I do both adequately.

If that's the case then it is just another medium they are using to ply their trade! A few years ago (before I was involved in the adult entertained scene) - I joined a dating site, I was forever hearing from men who were fed up at being contacted by Escort's and who also had it in their profiles. At the time I was very green! ha ha... but it sounds to me like they prostitute their wares wherever they can drum up business! Nothing new there... only tinder is fairly new.. so its just another avenue to use - no surprise.

Yes AW can be quiet at times and any business can be hit and miss, but as I have said many times is it just today or this week? Have you had a bad month? I only escort, mainly incalls from a hotel, so I have to invest in my business before getting a return, traveling costs & hotel room usually have to be paid for upfront to get the best rates. I work for a set number of hours per day and take what I can from it, some days are quieter than others, some areas are quieter than others. If I am sat in my room doing nothing I go on Twitter and interact with my followers, I try and drive them to the chat room on my own web site, so I can sell myself to them, I update my profile on AW every 15/20 minutes, I work at getting business through the door.

@poshie I am also suprised how many girls, like yourself, who use adult forums and have no info about themselves available, links to your AW profile / web site / twitter or other sites you are on. Any man veiwing this site would not have a clue who you are, how to find you and most importantly how to give you money.

The more sites you can be listed on, have profiles on, the better your marketing strategy

Like poshie has commented I have been a webcam provider on AW for a number of years and I manage my profile very well or the best I can, I:E Adding new content to keep it fresh etc but I like poshie have noticed aw has been quiet a couple of times

when I first started webcamming in 2010 I could go on at any time and know I would be busy , now its hit and miss but that's fine with myself as I don't rely on AW for all of my income as I do work myself away from the site doing a normal job. There was a time when AW seemed to always have traffic but people in this day and age have less money to spend, the uk is becoming more expensive to live so no doubt that affects peoples incomes plus more and more gals are joining aw all the time, from my experience some men prefer to see new girls or those with low feedback

I agree with whats been said already and would like to add my own take on it .
I love AW too! It was my first site and I have no intention of leaving. I also work a few other sites, not just camming but all sex work. I do not escort, I prefer to leave that to the proffessionals .
Like Charlotte, I was always busy, guaranteed to hit my goal by Friday night, every week without fail. Now I have good days and I have bad days, I don't always post about them, unless it is unusually quiet or I think there's a prob with the site, JCI, and I need to check with others incase it's a problem my end.
Here's where I see the problem:
1: The site has never recovered from the DOS attack, certainly not to what it was before that happened.
2: With all the documentries encouraging loads of women to 'give it a go' AW need to invest more money in its servers etc, they can't cope with the increased volume of cammers being online at the same time. Certain hours of the day/night the site suffers more glitches than other. Concidence?
3: JCI need to update the interface for the same reasons as above.
4: AW & JCI need to implement systems/programmes to improve the site experience for guys using tablets/mobiles phones etc.

5. AW need to spend money advertising the site

Things that I have said before are:

a) Nearly every adult site you go on you will see adverts for cam sites, in the form of pop ups / pop unders or just simple banner ads, when did you last see an advert promoting AW, other than on a girl who is on AW and promoting her own profile

b) Referral commission, AW affiliate referral program pays so little in commission that it is a joke, again the only people that use it are people promoting their own profile

I am on lj actually tho I never use it. And I would def be on sm but they won't have me lol. Aw isn't the site with the biggest money potential, however with daily pay and bank transfer it's certainly the most convenient! I'd never waste time trying to convert guys on dating sites tho, just go where the paying traffic already is!
