'Graphic Sexual Horror' Docu-film on BDSM

On the advice of one of my lovely regs, just watched this documentary:

It makes '50 Shades of Grey' look like the Beano. Ha ha!

I have to say, it was one of the most intense documentaries I've ever seen, well worth a watch if you're interested in BDSM at all, especially from a pain/torture perspective.

Naaa.... I'm kind of voyeuristicly interested in the genre I guess, but I'm not into porn... it's just not may bag.

Does this rate as porn do you think? Or is it more of an "insightful glimpse" into the alt lifestyle?

And does it contain anything that most of us probably haven't already done? lol

Has anyone seen Fetishes by Nick Broomfield?

Someone told me to watch it years ago, its quite old now but basically he goes and hangs around with several Mistresses and interviews a few of the subs. I first watched it when I was about 19 and just getting interested in that kind of thing.

It might still be on Netflix as I saw it when flicking through a few weeks ago, but not sure if it was US or UK version of Netflix as I have both.

Edit - It is on UK Netflix, it's from 1996.

Oh yes, want to watch that Nick Broomfield documentary, he's brilliant I think, that documentary he did on Aileen Wuornos was really powerful. And also the one on Amy Winehouse was good - it almost feels like a story unfolding as opposed to a documentary with him.

Lolly - yes I have seen it, it was very, very good. It isn't porn, it's more about the production of extreme (consenting) BDSM porn and one of the most innovative BDSM websites that ever was - Insex.com. They were the first website to do live 'shows' and broadcasts of girls. So, probably why cam shows are so popular today!

EDIT: You might like it too Kitty, the founding father of the website actually was a professor and mainly saw his work as art... And a way to get off, of course, ha ha. Very interesting as it also has like this 'Talking Heads' type element, with interviews with the BDSM models and how they perceived what they were doing, how some of them got into relationships with the guy behind the site, etc. How money and the politics of the day ultimately steered the website's downfall.

Yes it's ok just a bit dated now though as was made in 1996. I have seen much better recently with documentarys on fetish lately though.

Still worth a watch though I love the weird and wonderful always puts a smile on my face. If only I had my own dungeon
