deleted profiles

Does the owner of a profile have to delete it, or if it is dormant for a long time does it delete automatically?

I ask out of interest. I have a few profiles in my AW hotlist of people who were having a break but always had the intention of coming back, who's profiles have now gone. Conversely there are also some in the hotlist that have been left dormant for a long time (ie not logged in) but they are still on the site.

Any ideas?

They have to delete it. Although I imagine at some point, some days, maybe months (maybe years?) later, AW will sweep the cache of those non-deleted, dormant profiles.

If you deactivate your profile (of if AW deactivate it for you) then you have a month to switch it back on or else it goes to the great profile repository in the sky. If it's not de-activated, but you just leave it dormant, it stays there... seemingly for ever!

Also, AW does seem to have take to reclassifying profiles as Erotic Content Provider?

I know that profiles of escorts stop appearing in searches if they haven't logged in for awhile, but they remain in hotlists until deactivated.
