WMV files

Hi there, over the past few years, I could play any rental movies. Now, I can't play any rental movies at all as I keep getting the message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or it might not support the codec that was used the compress the file". The rental movie file type is .wmv

I tried to view the rental movies on another computer and it worked completely fine, which confuses me. Any suggestions on what to do? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If it's working fine on other computers then it sounds like the software on your pc/laptop could need updating.

Your codecs may need updating, you can try K-lite http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft...37&s=775&r= its free. Take your time going through the setup though and de-select any toolbars it may ask to install.
