direct cammer of the day. Is it worth the money?
#1
I thought it might be worth bidding for a direct cammer of the day slot. I imagine this must bring loads of traffic to your profile so I thought it might be worth it.

I placed a low bid for Saturday's slot, and I have already been outbid by quite a bit. I would now have to spend 55 credits should I wish to continue bidding for the slot.

So my question is: is it really worth it? And if so, how much is too much to pay? I don't want to end up forking out loads of credits some something that might not make that much difference.

As I'm in KinkyDirtyBitch's group I get promoted very well anyway. The group is featured regularly and I believe is group of the day about once a week. I just really want to make my business a success.

Do you guys think it would be worth the gamble forking out for this every so often? And if so, do you think it would be best to do it on a weekday? (I imagine people end up saying crazy prices for weekend slots).

There is only one way to find out!

I think if I were going to do it then I would try and work out which are my busiest and quietest days of the week (on average) and would probably presume that everyone else has the same peaks and troughs... there is no reason why you should see peak demand at a different time/day to anyone else. I would then take the rather counter-intuitive view that most people will bid for the busiest days, and so the quietest days are likely to be the least expensive? And more importantly, the quietest days are the ones where you want to boost demand?

The other thing I would do is just "watch" the auctions for a couple of weeks... my understanding is that they are like e-bay auctions and the price rockets in the last few minutes... try to work out where the lowest priced auction days match with the "quietest" days business wise, then bid for one of those.

I think you just have to jump in and do it once... if you don't get sufficient uplift from it, then don't do it again.

But remember that the uplift might be spread across a number of days or even weeks because it will draw guys to your profile and they may hotlist you with the intention of viewing at a later date?

I think the first thing to do is to properly understand what your business currently looks like and just be patient and allow yourself a month or two of experimentation to see what impact various tactics have on your overall level of business.

Oh, and remember also that we are in the summer holiday season, so demand is at it's lowest ebb other than Christmas (for Escorting, at least... dunno about camming) so it might be best to wait for September which is a more "normal" kind of month.

As it happens I've been wondering the same thing about Escort of the Day. I already understand the shape of my typical demand pattern and I know how many calls/bookings I get each day/week/month on average.

Do let us know how you get on! Smile x

Thanks for the great advice. I have noticed that webcammer of the day slots are cheaper (I guess because the appear further down the page). So I might go for one of those sometime. I find busy days vary quite a bit. I think I'll take your advice and invest some time looking at the auctions before I make a bid.

Hey there,

Yes it is defo worth it if you make the most of the time online, I did saturday (my profile was deleted for 2 hours!) but once I got it back at 11ish I was busy and then steady all day, my movies sold well too, I had to come offline at 6pm but I would defo do it again.

I also feature myself a lot as that helps with your traffic thru your room Smile
