Reporting "fake" profiles on AW
#1
Seems to me that a lot of people complain about the number of fake profiles there are on AW... but I wonder how many of us actually report them?

I have reported a few in my time, but only ones which I felt had directly impacted on my business.

I reported a girl who copied my entire profile, word for word. - AW deleted her.

I also reported a girl who seemed to be using some sort of auto thingy to keep herself at the top of the search list... AW replied to me and said that in their view she was just doing it manually, the way everyone else does... but strangely she did stop being top of the list every minute of every day after that, so I don't know if they mailed her with a bit of a "come on, play fair" kind of thing or if they didn't want to admit that it is possible to spoof the site so they shut her little robot thingy down quietly.

There have been a couple of others, but I can't really remember what for.

But quite often when I am browsing through the, err, "competition", I notice t-girls who are clearly nothing but fantasises and have probably never had a single call. I also see girls who are marked as escorts, but don't seem to be actually escorting - sometimes they even say as much on their profiles! I never report these as they don't do me any harm and I kind of have a "live and let live" attitude towards them. In fact, they do actually help my business in a strange sort of a way.

I guess the main thing that irks me is the girls who are genuine providers, but do not escort, marking themselves down as escorts. I'm not sure why it niggles at me, but it does. I guess I kind of think that guys may get so fed up sifting through all those girls and getting knocked back or not answered that they might just quit searching before they find the little oasis in the desert that is a genuine escort profile!

I guess some might do...recently a guy asked me in free preview if I escorted and when I said I didn't, he thanked me for being honest. I see a lot of girls without the escort box ticked but suggesting that they're thinking about escorting one day as a way to keep the guys coming back.

That's just "marketing"....

With regards to fake profiles I guess that there are people that are very happy with them, they are the guys that pay to view the private photos with no intention of ever meeting the girl. So in the end it is those people that are actually causing the problem, for those that see it as a problem. If they stopped paying, the fake profiles would dry up.

For my part, i really do not care what anybody else does. I have my own web site and AW works well for me with or without fakes, after all the genuine guys with a hard on are looking for a numeber they can call and a girl they can meet.

Agree with you Sarah. The 'fakes' are good competition because when a client then finds your profile and sees you are genuine then they will keep coming back.

We have helped lots of girls with Shared Content and setting Profiles up. However we have set up a Profiles for a couple of girls who do genuinely Escort (I know because they have joined us on meets!!!) but for their own personal (paranoia?) reasons have not wanted to verify their profiles. Then the profiles have been removed by AW as they have been reported as being fake because they haven't wanted to meet a client because of what he was demanding and that has been persistent with calls, texts and e-mails.

At the end of the day if someone wants to spend their money on a Gallery/Clip then they do so on their own accord.

But of course bear in mind everyone that there are two kinds of Fake Profiles:
People who lie about what they offer to get more hits and highlight their profile for what they do offer.
Others who steal content and pictures - These are the ones that need removing and AW have reacted well when I have told them when my content and pictures have been stolen. Thank you to my vigilant clients for letting me know x

Totally... which is what I meant when I said:

I've only ever reported profiles which have directly impacted on my business.

Someone has posted on another forum about a girl up north who has a pic of Kelly Brook as her main profile pic - face obscured, obviously! I've seen the profile, and for sure, that same pic of Kelly can be found in numerous places across the web.

Thing is, this girl has not been a member long and has got some good feedback and a few field reports, so it seems she is genuinely escorting.

So what are your feelings on that?

She doesn't impact on my business in any way, so I would just feel a bit mean and spiteful reporting her for it... although I'm not sure why the guy who spotted it didn't? And I think girls in her immediate area might be a bit cross about it too... I dunno.

{Edit: - and I'm not sure ms Brook would be too chuffed either!}

How do you girls feel about it?

i think it is good to report profiles who have been copied even photos from other escorts also when the photographs are those from glamor models, lingerie magazines etc.

But ultimately there is not a day that goes by when I don't hear from a client that when he visits a girl the one who answers is not the one advertised. Generally this is with Eastern European girls. Also the latest thing is that EU girls are selling their profiles off to others who just take the profile and ratings over from them.
I used to be snow white but drifted...

And as if by magic.... her profile is gone...

It wasn't me.... I didn't report it!

I didn't even say who it was....

AW are very quick if you have your content/pictures stolen. I had it last year someone set up a escorting profile using my pics etc advertising as a escort in London!. ( I don't escort)
Luckily a cam customer emailed me to say " is this you?" so I reported it straight away within 30 mins it was taken away so good service from AW and also shows that customers check out too.

Customers are so clued up when it comes to watching profiles, he was probably hoping he had struck lucky and found you advertising as an escort as well as doing web cam
