I had a similar experience earlier hits week (posted on The Punters Forum).

I booked with a lady - communicated by email, said I would confirm in the morning of the day (afternoon meeting). I rang on the morning - no reply, but went anyway. Arrived at tube station - called - on answer machine, called repeatedly, on the hour said I'd wait another 10 minutes, still nothing.

I am clueless as to what went on - but I don know some profiles are fakes and that punters have been lured to places asked where they are and then mugged.

My pet hate: someone that insists you ring them for final directions at the exact start time - you discover it takes 20 minutes to get there, another 10 is spent before getting down to the business in hand, then you get finished early and wonder why the hour was so short.
