Do You Count Your Money In Front Of A Client?
#21
Lol! Very true! I do have to say though, guys like that are quite rare. The majority of my clients are lovely and would never try or even think of doing anything like that. Unfortunately, there's always one bad apple!

Actually I NEVER count the money in front of the client.
I ask for it in an envelope or card to be handed over in the first few minutes.
When he is in shower I take a quick peek, it was only ever short once in the last few years and the moment he got out of shower I pointed it out and he was very apologetic he had confused a ten for twenty - easily done.

This style suits me because I do not wish to be reminded I'm being paid
and don't want the client to be reminded in any way he is paying
but naturally I respect everyone's own view & many ladies are now doing it this way.

No, I also dislike it when they count it out in front of me. A client should know your rates and if you choose your clients right you will never have problems of being underpaid.

Touch wood I never have and if it ever did happen i would just not see the gent again. I also prefer my money in an envelope.
I used to be snow white but drifted...

There is a lot more than ONE bad apple out there and that is the reason the money should ALWAYS be counted in front of the client so that HE and YOU know of any discrepancy if there is one.

No matter what anyone thinks, IT IS A BUSINESS TRANSACTION and should be treated that way, would a shop assistant let you walk out a shop paying £60 less for something and just stand and talk to her to make up the time .................. no chance .................... you pay the FULL PRICE and get the FULL SERVICE in any business.

I totally agree. Don't worry, I didn't allow him to stay for 2 hours, I made sure he left soon after he tried to con me. I'm self-employed and my Escort work is my business and I like to keep it professional, it would be exactly the same if I worked in any other service industry. You charge for a service and you count the money you are paid, it's simple. What kind of professional business would I be running if I refused to count the money that clients paid me? It doesn't mean that it detracts from the service that you are giving to the client. I have many, many regular clients and they are all very happy for me to count my fee in front of them, why shouldn't they be? If I go to a beauty salon and pay in cash, I wouldn't expect the salon to just take my money and not count it. I don't understand this strange obsession with not wanting to being reminded that you're working by not counting your fee? I also don't like the insinuation that it's somehow my fault that the client tried to get away with not paying my full fee because 'I didn't choose my client right'.

If the money is sorted out as quickly as possible then it can be put away whilst the client (punter) makes themself comfortable. By the time you return the matter is forgotten about and you have both moved onto what you are doing next.

Personally I believe that if you do not count the money in front of a client you are leaving yourself open to be conned. The downside to this is not that you lose some money but you will lose the client as he will know what he has done and that you will know, so probbaly not come back.
