Wow that is awfully sad!! They do warn about doing patch tests first though... I have sensitive skin so I follow that guideline but I know many don't... It's a horrid freak accident thats for sure!!

It may also been found in textile or fur dyes, dark coloured cosmetics, temporary tattoos, photographic developer and lithography plates, photocopying and printing inks, black rubber, oils, greases and gasoline.
This is why I tend to keep to the same brands, although it is important to check when they say 'new improved' etc, as the ingredients has likely changed.
I use that hair dye but always makes my head itch like mad when in the 30-40min leave on process but goes to show what the chemical reaction can cause.
