Football is a bunch of pansy twats running about chasing a ball, who cry and fall over until someone comes running over with sponges and a stretcher Wink

Och, I like a bit of slush now and again. Proves we are not hard faced prossies 100% of the time and that we have feelings too.

I have to say I agree with you lolo. I think that is initially why I joined the site, to have somewhere to hang out with other ladies in the adult industry, have a chat/moan/laugh and have somewhere just to let my hair down with people who understand the pressures and delights of what we do. But the forum does give a vibe of being predominantly escort/punter orientated, so I lurked for a while then left.

I have to say that having clients of all varieties on the boards is something new to me too. I'm quite used to being on forums for providers alone where we can find our solace which is a reason why, now that I'm actively participating, I don't much get involved in general chitchat on most threads. It's a strict personal rule of mine that I don't get familiar with clients on a 'friends' type level. Rather like the 'cons of seeing a regular client' thread elsewhere on the forum - familiarity destroys the domme sub dynamic for me, and as soon as a client gets too friendly I stop seeing/phone chatting/webcamming with them. But I totally understand that what doesn't work for me might work very well for others.

Once I am able to post in the service provider forums I doubt that I'll be posting threads about when I'm on cam/phone, what I'll be doing etc because I don't wish to use this forum to sell myself, I like it for reading peoples points of view and perspectives. That's refreshing. I probably will aim to post engaging threads which people can participate in to help add to the flow of the forum, and hopefully coax other webcam/phone chat/IM'ers out of the woodwork. Hopefully if others do too it will assist in making the place feel less escort focused and more balanced mix of providers and clients of all adultworks services.

Lolo you need to post more again. You had some great ideas for threads and I'm sure there are more inside you. Share!

Actually, whilst we're on the subject...

I find a lot of places like this a bit cliquey (this one isn't actually, hence why I'm still here), but forums for sexworkers can be a bit that way, and so you might get a lot of people on the sidelines feeling like they can't join in.

An example, and one I'm very annoyed at, is one that I found where people in a niche market as I am, were gathered on forum boards. It was a place for dominae/mistresses/insert desired honourific here, to do basically what we're doing. Sadly, there was a rule on the board about posting your site links, that I found utterly ridiculous, not to mention insulting. If you hosted your business on somewhere like AW that advertised for escorts, it would be removed and disallowed. The reason for this, was because the uppity buggers didn't want to be associated with escorts, as if they were some lower life form.

I was so bloody angry, because to me, sex workers are sex workers, like it or not, a dominatrix is a sex worker, however you/we/they see it, because there's sexual gratification involved. We're not better than any other sex worker, it's just a different road. It simply made me think that the women advertising on there were nothing more than stuck up tarts, who don't like a spade being called a spade.

We can't expect society to accept sex workers are people, if we're spending so much time arguing amongst ourselves about what does and doesn't constitute being one. My only issue is with streetwalkers, and not because they're streetwalkers, we need to be helping to get them off the streets to safety, stamping out their abusive pimps, and dealing with whatever habit they've got to put them there in the first place. They need our help, not our revulsion. If brothels were legalised or even decriminalised, then it would go a long way to dealing with that, especially if they were regulated.

Anyway, I'm trying not to sound ranty.

I forgot to mention something in my last post.

I am sad to see that we now have separate service provider forums, for each category. I preferred it before, where we had one service provider forum, because I think we can provide insight to one another across the board. I don't see people in person now, but I used to. If I suddenly stop camming, I'll lose access to the cam forum etc, I don't see why we needed to separate them. I also thought that people looking to get into a certain area might benefit from seeing the banter by providers in each category, so it would make sense for them to be clubbed together. It's nicer community wise, and would likely make people feel more welcome.
