Not having kids, it's hard to say, having socialised with you all, I don't think I would be concerned with what they were doing (it's their life after all) but having read some of you bad experiences I would be very concerned about their safety.

I didnt start escorting to very late in life. I had been through the marriage, children, divorce stage by about 20 years. I came via Ann Summers, Adult Chatlines and Adultwork.

My 'children' are older than many of the girls on here ..... the oldest two not that far short of 40 so I really dont think I could stop them or judge them in any way if escorting is what they had decided on.

I wouldnt be happy if they decided to start escorting and there was a chance of it interfering with them having a 'normal' life. What I mean by that is, I wouldnt like them escorting at 19 if it turned them into someone who didnt have the chance of meeting a 'nice' guy, getting married and having children - and I mean in that order. However, if they had chosen that life then I would have to have accepted it, like it or lump it so to speak.

When i was 18 i was on £90/week working 32 hours and college 9 hours.

If i was a girl as an escort id only have to work 30-60 minutes for that.

I dont think many people realise the mental/psychological side of escorting. Many girls who start escorting are simply thinking of the 'massive' amounts of money they may make without giving any thought to their safety or anything else for that matter. Once you have gotten used to the money you can make it must be difficult to go back to working for 'normal' wages which can be much less that escorting pay after overheads.

I am another one who escorts as a hobby. I wouldnt like to be escorting full time. I have a family I like to spend a lot of time with. Unfortunately many escorts arent as lucky as me in this vein.

What many escorts dont realise as well is that they may have to keep their 'escort life' a secret for life as not every man/woman - dependent on their sexuality - wants to go into a relationship with someone who has worked in this line of business.

So taking up 'escorting' is not something anyone should take lightly when thinking about entering the escort lifestyle.

I have a daughter and I hope that it is not something she would become involved in although there is nothing wrong with being an escort. But if she ever wanted too I would hope she would come to me and I would be there to ensure she is safe.
