NEVER forget about your family ... No matter how busy you are.

I am finding it hard as I am looking to go back to work, and the thought of having someone else looking after my kids is hard. Having been a full time mum for 6+ yrs. I don't have family that can over childcare, due to illnesses and distance.
I admire people who have raised kids and worked fulltime, but i wanted to be with them for their early years, the worst bit will be when they are on school holidays, and we are both at work. I've been fortunate that DrC has earnt enough so I could be the full time mum.

It's not easy. When my baby sister was little my Mum used to work the grave yard shift at Tesco so she could look after her during the day when she was pre-school. I went into a career that allowed me to be free during the School hols and most Teaching Assistants are Mum's too, as this allows them to be free when their children need them. Women generally tend to take jobs that allow them to still be Mum, be it part-time or tailored in some other way. This is one of the reasons why men earn so much more than Women generally.

I'm afraid my situation was the same as Lolo's and where she does not regret it, as she knows it was for the greater good I still do regret it and I still get pangs when I miss the child I had. My son was an adorable little boy and at times I saw him literally for half an hour a day.

I don't think anyone could begin to describe the love you feel for your child/children and even now with the hardships of being with a hormonal teenager I love every minute that we spend together. The last few days have been quite rough for me emotionally, but at least I got to spend it with my boy.
