Hi

I was wondering, if the adult service providers section is private. Is it a good idea to have the links to topics on twitter?

AdultworkForum Adultwork Forum
escort (and client) friendly hotels - http://t.co/dTyVs2m @AdultworkForum #adultwork

Surely this is inviting any one who is trying to wipe out Escorts in hotels to join and possibly set up a bogus classified in order to gain entry. Either entry needs to be tightened up to invitiation only, or tweets to this section need to be stopped, as heading give away too much info. We need this to be totally private.

Interesting question Kate.

Good point, one for the Admin to address.
You can delete the thread about hotels if you want

No it is a really useful resource MrSmiths and these are the kind of issues that we want to address in the private segment of the forum, along with timewasters and dangerous clients etc. However none of these issues really want to be highlighted on twitter, for other people to know we are discussing them, let alone the possibiity they may join purely to gain informaitona and intrigue.

I'm glad I managed to think of something useful. Has the admin been online recently to talk to about this?

it seems quite easy to gain access to the work providers area, any one could set up a fake profile to get in, but then again how would you make it safe, or know people are genuine service providers.
I certainly agree with Kate that those topics shouldn't be going on twitter, not sure any of the topics should be posted on the twitter page. I think most pages do updates daily or weekly of exciting topics to keep interest rather than over loading with all the topics.

On another forum that I am on to gain access to the ladies section the owner actually rings you to confirm that you are actually female

I'd be happy for it to be via invite. I.e. either myself, Lolo or admin message the person to invite them to it and tell them that they now have access. That way we can monitor their behaviour on the forum and if they are posting regularly and behaving in a way that suggests they are geniune and have the interests of the other members they get an invite.

I think they only areas that should really go on twitter should be from the 'adult area' as it is of interest and 'adverts' as again it pulls people in. The rest is not really relevant and is mostly about what the members are interested in, which may be of no intertest to anyone else.

It should be enough to pull people in anyway.

No I've not seen admin for a while, but they normally communicate with Lolo before me, so not unexpected.
