I did a C2C this morning, still no sound, and to make matters worse, he could not hear me either, very frustrating. Did phone him in the end, but don't want to do that with every Tom, Dick or Harry. Will only do it with regulars.

Ok, so this morning I saw a 'sound on/off' icon on the guys vid feed on c2c. I remember seeing it before, and even looking for it when this sound trouble started, but nothing was showing up. Today it reappeared, but it only appears when you put the curser over his vid feed (on c2c). When you move the curser off his vid, the icon disappears.
And it was on mute. Obvs, I unmuted and hey presto, I could hear him.
I haven't cammed much today, so yet to see if it is on mute for every 2 way cammer.
Worth checking out :-)

Yes it works, at last I have sound again. Have never noticed that icon before, will now know to look for it if no sound. So thanks KTC, was getting really pissed off with no sound.
