To be honest that is the sort of thing that should have come along in the first place
I think they were just trying it on to see how gullable he was

Every good man has a good woman behind him, isn't that what they say?

Well done, that means you have 3 stress 3 days a week and even if he just starts to contribut to begin with a little less pressure financially for you. I would get it sorted with him before he goes though and set up a standing order on his computer.
