Solitary, Simple pleasures!

This year I'm more excited about New Year's day than the biggest Party night of the year.

Its not that I'm spending the day with friends or family, its because the new series of Sherlock is back on! (I know, how sad is that?)I have my evening planned, Sherlock, fish finger sandwich, a large Malbec and the last minced pie. Woe betide anyone who pops round because I won't be answering the door, they will not be permitted to join me in my viewing pleasure as the plot unfolds (asking me to recap or ask annoying questions)

I only got into Sherlock last year, having watched the Christmas special, I then had to watch the box sets. Darn you Sherlock for out doing my new years eve. But thank you for coming back for a new series!!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets such joy from simple pleasures, and if so what are yours?

My pleasures have gotten SO simple since I became a mummy I have to be somewhere near the hermit category. As soon as I know my mum is taking him for a weekend I'll scrub the whole house from to top to bottom, nip to M&S for snacks, tasty lunches and wine and then get my favourite fleece pyjamas washed. As soon as I'm alone my time consists of ipad movies, catching up on AHS, GOT or Suits, 2 hr long baths with said ipad movies and the occasional book reading binge. I literally only move to pee and get food.

I'm 21 and this is my happy time. NO SHAME, lol.

A young working mum deserves some 'me time'. Do you enjoy Freshly washed sheets as well, all crisp and ironed?

Oh my god, YES. I have such an obsession with clean bedding! The feeling of clean sheets is just too good, specially after a hard days camming.

I had to have a giggle at your reply because I'm only home half an hour from M&S shopping the sale AND getting that deal! It's like you know me.

I'm such a believer that the small things that keep you happy are also the ones that keep you sane. xx

Yes I love nothing more than snuggling down on the sofa at night with Hubby and cats watching some telly.I am pretty much a hermit too and don't particularly like having anyone besides family at my house.........x
