I bought my new domain name from some else, who can also host it - but I think I have hosting for another year with my current domain name.

The current people say:
If you wish to use your domain with a 3rd party web service it is possible to point your domain towards a new host. If you wish to point your domain to a new host please submit a request with the relevant details.

- What are the relevant details?

- Also, what does this mean? Do I do it this way?
Your domain mail settings (MX Records) can be updated through your myportalexpress account, for all further domain name settings such as A Records, Nameservers, CName changes please submit a request through the form available within your account with the relevant information and we will be happy to make these changes for you.

I have just been told that you should be able to change the nameserver on your domain to point to the nameserver at the hosting company you want to use. That is all you should need to do.
