AW Booking System
#1
It is a shame that you can not opt out of using the AW bookings, some guys seem to think that by placing a booking they have a guaranteed booking even though you have neither confirmed or deleted it, you cannot decline a booking.

I never delete bookings as it will still allow the guy to leave feedback about you but stops you giving a response.

As I take bookings by phone and clearly state that on my profile, I will have often already given out the time slot a guy has booked through the system.

I have tried suggesting to AW that there should be a declined button and once you have declined the booking no response / feedback should be allowed by either person. But no updates have been made for that to be tried.

How do others find this works for them, do girls doing webcam have the same problems with pre booked webcam sessions?

I can't respond re escort bookings as I've never escorted, however with regards to booked phone chat and cam shows, no we don't have the same issues as we do have the opportunity to reject any bookings made.

Luckily I've never had a guy leave any feedback for booking that haven't happened but I agree with you on the ability to reject. It's unfair that someone can leave feedback when they haven't got a confirmed booking. There was a lady on another thread that is having problems with her ex boyfriend leaving nasty feedback on her profile. If there was a reject button, then we wouldn't be open to unfair feedbacks from booking that haven't happened, and the lady I mentioned earlier wouldn't have to deal with her nasty ex effecting her business.

I agree - I make it plain that they need to contact me first, but a few don't. I always email them straight away, but it would be better if all booking requests were seen as tentative.

It actually comes as a surprise that you don't have a reject option something of an oversight given that those at AW probably spend a fair amount of time dealing with complaints about this kind of feedback, a reject option would probably make their lives easier as well. I've seen the AW Webmaster Q+A thread is that really the big cheese at AW or just the person who represents them in the media, can you contact that person directly or do you always have to go via their minions ?.

From a punters point of view if I see a negative feedback comment on a profile I'm interested in I do take a look at the person who made it and it's usually easy to spot when it comes from someone who's just playing games because they have no feedback themselves or just a string of comments branding them a time waster so it has no influence over my decision when I'm considering making a booking.

I never go straight to the booking request and usually it's just a formality because I've already discussed things with the person concerned in other emails, I've also found that even those who say they insist on bookings being made via the booking system really just want to see your feedback and they can do that when you send other emails of course and if their happy they don't worry about a formal booking request, I do like to use the booking system every so often though to keep my own feedback up to date.

How would a rejection system still allow unremovable feedback to be left if (for instance) a client shows up and is then subjected to the "irate boyfriend" scam, or similar?

That does not make sense

If I reject the booking then the booking would NOT go ahead, the client could not turn up as there is NO booking, so NO scam could take place.

What I'm thinking is that a scammer could "reject the booking" at the last possible moment, just before the client knocks on the door. He has no chance to find out that the booking was cancelled, gets robbed, and can't leave feedback to warn others.

In the first instance he should report the incident to the police rather than be thinking of writing feedback on AW.

A booking could not be rejected once it has been confirmed, that would be pointless, as it is an agreement between both parties, if it was cancelled then both parties would, as they are now, be able to give their side of the story. We are talking about rejecting a booking so it does not go ahead, being able to say to a guy that you are not available.

At present a guy is able to make a booking, as happened to me recently, 55 minutes before the booking and then leave bad feedback as I did not get back to him, when I had not had a chance to see the booking.

A scammer is unlikely to be bothered by bad feedback as they can quite easily hide the feedback or just create a new profile.
